This lovely little seaside holiday cottage in Keyhaven is the second in a terrace facing the sea. Inside is smart, bright, and the upstairs bedroom has great views of the Isle of Wight and Solent. It is a perfect little bolthole in a great location.
The location makes it ideal to grab the ferry to Hurst Castle – or walk along the one mile spit out to the famous fort on the edge of the Solent. There is café there along with many others in the local Milford on Sea village.
The house is to one side of Keyhaven harbour and a 45 second walk from the water’s edge.
On the ground floor there is a well-appointed modern kitchen-diner with all the mod cons including dishwasher and washing machine. Adjoining the kitchen is the snug sitting room and remote-controlled cosy modern fireplace. There is also a small room for outdoor items and toilet just off the entrance lobby.
The master bedroom with king-size bed on the top floor offers spectacular panoramic views of the Isle of Wight, the Needles, Hurst Castle and the boats in Keyhaven harbour and on the Solent. Open up the large picture windows at night and gaze up at millions of stars in the sky, or listen to the birds in the early morning and watch the sun rise over the Isle of Wight.
The second bedroom still has its original fireplace and a king-size bed that converts into two singles. This is situated on the same floor as the generous sized bathroom which affords a good-sized bathtub and separate shower cabin and provides ‘his and hers’ basins, a toilet and storage.
Outside there is a gated courtyard with outdoor seating which is beautifully sheltered from the wind. It catches the afternoon and evening sun; a perfect place to relax with a gin and tonic on those warm summer evenings.
