This home was built in the early 1600’s and is full of rich and unique history. There is a hidden priest hole in the property which was common in grand houses in the 16th/17th Century and the home has been around for major points in British history and Winston Churchill even visited here for strategic meetings during WWII!
There are 7 large bedrooms all with double beds, a large rustic kitchen and 2 spacious living areas, so there is plenty of room for 14 people to spread out and relax. The dining area has a large table so everyone can fit comfortably.
I would recommend this house to anyone in a big group, from the day we booked the communication was great and always responded within the hour. Anything we needed was provided in the house. The house itself is so interesting with lots of different rooms to explore. Perfect location for going out on a long country walk to the pubs close by and also close enough to get into Bath for the evening (20 mins taxi if that). We are very tempted to return as everything was so so lovely! – Helen – Oct 2017
