5 Top Tips for selecting a midweek break

Some decisions in life are taxing but choosing your midweek holiday destination should not be one of them.  Take a look below at our top tips for finding the right property to suit your requirements…..

Are you a City mouse or Country mouse?

Big ben in London UK for a city breakThe first consideration must be to decide if you are heading for a buzzing city break or a rural retreat away from it all. One of the many benefits of a midweek break is that it is much quieter and more peaceful than a weekend so if you enjoy taking it easy and escaping the rat race then a midweek getaway is certainly the ticket.  Cities are also a little less busy and many attractions will have special mid week offers and deals to take advantage of.

Location location

London is just one of the UK cities that can be magical and full of Christmas cheer, amazing displays and warming eateries especially around December.  Or you might prefer to get up with the lark and walk along the river bank watching the cattle graze and the kingfisher hunt during a cold frosty morning, sitting and watching the mist rise from the valley. How about a midweek beach holiday?  Watching the sun set on the sea takes you away from everyday troubles and is made all the better with a good glass of Chablis in hand. The sea air is claimed to cure many ailments but that is another story…..A countryside break by a bridge

Anyone for tennis? Swimming? Riding? Long walks? Art galleries Or shopping until you drop? Picking a property within range of facilities and attractions can make or break a holiday for some. If on the other hand you would prefer a quiet cottage retreat with a good book, nice views and seclusion then go for some of our cosy cottages but be prepared for a hike if you run out of milk!

Friends together

Thinking of a get together for a special occasion, birthday or celebration? A midweek stay in a lovely farmhouse with everyone gathered around the dining table or go grand and have a luxury unforgettable experience to remember in a Manor house or Castle.

Plan ahead

Make the most of the services offered – if the property owner or manager is available to help you plan your stay then book the food to be delivered from the supermarket, book a caterer for your celebration dinner or have a personal guided tour or visit. Planning ahead can really help you to relax when you know everything has been taken care of when you set off for your midweek holiday.
