Couples cosy bolt hole in Yorkshire
Tucked away in the rolling Howardian Hills just 14.5 miles north of York, this cosy country retreat makes the most of the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside from the doorstep. Perfect for couples and small families looking to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Set in an elevated position within a row of charming stone cottages, this handsome two-bedroom property boasts far-reaching views and contemporary elegant interiors. Step inside to discover an open-plan living space home to the lounge, kitchen and dining area. All of the soft furnishings including the cushions and lampshades have been hand-stitched by a local craftsman and the walls feature original art by an award-winning artist.
The nearest village is Terrington, a pretty little place where you’ll find a sleepy main street lined with charming cottages, a church and a shop/cafe. The village is under a 5-minute walk from the cottage. Nearby, there’s an award-winning Lavender farm and with its deer and sculpture park, tearoom and gift shop it’s a great day out for all ages.

“Beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished cottage on outskirts of Terrington. Located in the Howardian Hills, a picturesque part of North Yorkshire full of chocolate box villages and rolling countryside. Lots to do and see including steam railway from Pickering to Whitby, shopping in Helmsley and Pickering, cream teas and good dining in choice of gastropubs and local village pubs. We had an amazing time and couldnt believe we had not visited before”
