The space represents a stylish stay in a coastal city apartment, near to Portsmouth. Enjoy a relaxing break in this newly refurbished apartment, set in the heart of Southsea, a vibrant coastal city rich in history, culture, and sea air! Ideal for couples, creatives, or friends sharing, this artistic space which offers comfort, character and a welcoming home-from-home feel. This cute, boutique apartment sleeps up to 2 guests (with optional accommodation for a third). It consists of a comfortable double bedroom, separated from the living area by a curtain for privacy and a relaxed living room with sofa bed (ideal for two people sharing the accommodation or suitable for a third guest for an additional supplement).

The beautiful beach, independent shops, cafés, music venues, and the Kings Theatre are all close enough to enjoy on foot, making it easy to leave the car behind once you arrive. Gunwharf Quays is a nearby shopping outlet with waterside restaurants, bars, cinemas, and harbour views. There is also Albert Road which offers a more independent mix of live music, vintage finds, small galleries, and local nightlife.

We’re also ideally positioned for travel links. The continental ferry terminal offers easy crossings to France and Spain, while the Isle of Wight ferry is close by for day trips or longer stays. Fratton station provides direct rail connections to London and is a ten-minute walk from the apartment. Also, Southampton Airport is relatively close and can be reached in around 30 minutes by car, making the apartment a convenient base for both coastal breaks and onward travel.

As well as our seafront and the Historic Dockyard, here are some of our favourites. For art and creativity, The Corner Collective and Aspex Portsmouth are well worth a visit. Both champion contemporary practice and reflect the city’s strong, grassroots creative scene. For coffee and casual daytime bites, Southsea Coffee Co and Southsea Deli are firm local favourites — relaxed, friendly, and ideal for breakfast or a late lunch. When it comes to eating out, Desi and Carter and Co offer reliable, well-loved dining options.

If you’re after something a little more laid back, we are blessed with some fabulous traditional pubs which locals gravitate towards such as The Phoenix, The Barley Mow, and Lawrence Arms — all characterful spots with a strong sense of place. As a working artist, I can also offer creative experiences for guests (subject to availability), including spray-can workshops, informal street art tours, and decorative floral chinoiserie painting sessions. This is a modern and recently re-furbished apartment with a new bathroom and well-appointed kitchen with sink, dishwasher, fridge, hob, microwave and air fryer. The apartment is located beneath a Victorian townhouse where you will have sole access to the entire flat via a private entrance. On-street parking is available via visitor permits. One permit is included with each night of your booking (additional permits are available for a small cost).
