Midweek Breaks in the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds are famous for their rolling hills and beautiful stone buildings and walls.
If you are looking for a walking holiday or a mooching around and relaxing break you can certainly find both in the Cotswolds. Enjoy a Midweek Break browsing the independent shops, tea rooms and historic places or grab a map to explore the towers, gardens and stately homes that adorn the countryside.
Couples will enjoy the privacy and special feeling that cosy nights offer by the wood burner or a romantic lunch with the dog in a local pub.
Browse our selection of holiday cottages, we have selected our TOP 6 self catering holiday homes which we hope you agree are unique and would make a memorable short break.
During the Jurassic period the Cotswolds as we know them today were covered in a lovely warm sea. This is what helped this beautiful stone to develop that is used in building houses from the middle ages onwards. It is easily recognisable – often described as creamy, honey or golden in colour. This brings a warmth to the look and feel of Cotswold towns and villages.
A must see day trip during Autumn and any other season is the stunning Batsford Arboretum – open all year and welcomes dogs everywhere!
